David Craig, MPA, MACCT, CGFM

Director of Government Accountability Office

David Craig is a government accounting and finance professional with over twenty years of experience in government accounting, program audits and evaluation, education finance and budgeting and public administration.  He has lived and worked in New Mexico since 2008, including with the Legislative Finance Committee, the Legislative Education Study Committee, the Public Education Department and the Early Childhood Education and Care Department before joining the Office of the State Auditor in late 2023.  He is married to Rebecca Craig, a pediatrician at UNM Hospitals, father to three boys (11, 8, 7), and therefore spends the majority of his freetime planning Cub Scout activities or at Albuquerque Little League fields.
