Cristina Thomson has over 11 years of Payroll/Benefits/Human Resource experience. Cristina has an undergraduate degree from The Anderson School of Management at UNM and has just recently began her journey to obtain her MBA. 

She began her career as an HR Assistant with the State Personnel Office, where she spent a little over 2 years in the Shared Services Department. This department provided HR and Payroll oversight to multiple smaller State agencies. She transferred to the New Mexico Corrections Department and spent over 2 years there as an HR/Payroll Analyst. In 2017 she moved back to her hometown of Bernalillo and started her career in the School Business world! She was a Payroll/Benefits Specialist for 3 years there before transferring to Rio Rancho Public Schools. She spent about a 1 ½ years as a Payroll Specialist before being promoted into her current role as Payroll Manager.   

She currently serves on the NMASBO Scholarship committee and is on the Board of Directors for Coronado Little League.  Cristina has been married to her husband, Mark, for 10 years (together 18!) and together they have 2 children, Lauren and Tristan.
